      Another newbie here

      Hi everyone,

two days ago I stumbled upon this site and was so fascinated, that I didn't go to sleep until 3 AM. So I decided to register and introduce myself.
I'm very new to LDing and can't remember if I ever had an LD (and if so I didn't know about it back then), although I've experienced some pretty exciting things while sleeping/half sleeping. So I really want to get into this topic and try to learn it.
But first I need to work on my recall, because that's something that's always been bothering me; I seem to forget almost everything. The last two nights I had some minor achievements.

One more thing: English is not my mother tongue, so please bear with me if I make spelling or grammar mistakes. I'm trying my best to check my texts before posting... Oh and I'd be really grateful if you corrected me, as I really want to improve my English

So... sorry for rambling on. I'm looking forward to getting to know some of the users here and learning more about LDing

      Byebye, zyna.

Glad you found the site. Theres a ton of information around here. Especially read through the tutorials section. It has explanations of what all the commonly used terms mean, and some techniques to get you started.

If you want to work on your recall, try starting an online dream journal. You can always read what other people have to get some inspiration.

      See you around!

      Hi, and welcome.

For me, the quality of my dream recall seems related to how I wake up. If I'm awoken abruptly, it's harder to remember alot.

Oh, and I never would have guessed that English isn't your native tongue, and your spelling seemes spot on.

      Hey Zyna.

Yah, start an online Dream Journal, a nice relaxing way to record your dreams and show them off to internet people.

Don't worry about your english, if anyone takes the mic, I'll defend you.

But no one will take the mic anyway or even start on you, we're all too nice. ^_^

Yeah, don't sweat the english thing. There are members here from all over the world.

Your grammar is probably better than my crappy American-education-system grammar. And spelling? I think they gave up on trying to teach people how to spell long ago.

Well that's a nice fun fact to know.

      Thanks for the nice welcome!

I'm not saying my English is bad, I feel pretty comfortable reading and watching stuff in English, but it could be better
Anyways, I'm under the impression that my writing always seems a little weird in forums, because it's so stark (?) from the formal education at school.
Oh and I didn't get the phrase "taking the mic", can somebody explain it to me?

I mean, if someone bullies you for how you type. It wont happen.

I'm new myself, so welcome! (And your English is wonderful.) As for dream recall - I've always had lucid dreams and good dream recall in general, but when I started keeping a small voice recorder by my bed, I was amazed at how much I'd forgotten by morning (how do our brains come up with this stuff?). I recorded everything, from that half-asleep stuff to full-blown nightmares, and while I remembered much of what was on the recorder, I found I had forgotten the minute details (and even unusual words, phrases and names). Later, I'd transcribe everything down in a journal. Good luck!

When you wake up, try not to move or even open your eyes. Lay where you are for a few minutes and your dreams should come back to you. Then write down your dreams in a dream journal, you should see an increase in dream recall fairly quickly.
