Hey Lily!
Yah, as Caradon said, it's good that you decided to learn about Lucid Dreaming, as it helps get rid of nightmares and generally have fun. And, you have the book? That's a nice way to learn, some members on here just use the forum (like me, heh) but books are an awesome way to go too, specially in Lucid Dreaming.
Also, I have some tips for you if you're not already following them. Keep a Dream Journal, as they are best. Learn about these here - Click
That's a thread sticky in the Dream Journal forum itself so at the top you can just click Dream Journal after you've finished reading the thread. Next, we have Reality Checks. Do you do Reality Checks during your life at all? As in, when you turn your computer on, do you do a Reality Check? When you go to the toilet, do you do a Reality Check? When you think about turning the light on, do you do a Reality Check? That's the kind of thing a Reality Check is, if you want to follow some of the examples I put down for you, feel free to go and do so.
And now, Dream Signs. Have you ever noticed how your dreams have similar things in them? Like me for example, I mostly always tend to dream that I'm in my old school, this is odd, I know, but still, it happens. I also dream about members on this forum at. You may have something repetitive like this in your dreams, not all the time, but most of the time. If you want to align that to Reality Check, you can. If it's something you do or see or hear in real life, then practice doing Reality Checks after doing/seeing/hearing them. You can find more information about them here - Click
That was found in the tutorials section which is here - Click
Last of all, lucid foods and drinks, certain foods and drinks have good stuff in them to make you dream longer the following night or perhaps have a Lucid Dream. My favourite and top recommendation is Chocolate, and Milk, as they are what I enjoy most out of the list.
Hope I've given you a good start. Welcome to the community of the site, hope you have an awesome time here.
