      Conciousness while lucid.

I've never had a lucid dream before, and I'm giving it a try now. I have a couple of questions though:

      1. While you are attempting a WILD, do you have to stay conscious(meaning that you enter SP while being conscious?)

      2. Does it feel, after you become lucid, that you are in full control of your dream, or is this another skill that should be acquired? Also do you become conscious of what you do while lucid(as in real life), or do you just remember it when you wake up?

My dream recall has improved a lot in a very short period of time. A week ago, when I first learned about lucid dreaming, I used to remember no dreams at all, now almost every night I remember some of the dreams I've been having, so I think that being lucid is close! Wish me luck!!!

Let's see if I can help.

      1) Yes, you must stay consciuos during the WILD process. This is essential.

      2) For some, they feel as if they're in full control, and for others, it feels like they have little to no control at all. It depends on the person sometimes, but for most it's skill. For me, I am aware of what I do while lucid, but when I wake up, it goes away for a few minutes. It usually comes back to me when I recall the dreams I had that night. So I guess it depends, again, on the person.

      Hope I helped! ^___^

To add a little to an answer on the first question: Yes, you have to stay conscious, but, you do not need to enter SP first.

Feel free to ask if you have any more questions.

thank, snowy_egypt and luminous. and thanks for the clarification that i dont have to enter sp.

yesterday i attempted a WILD. It was my first, and I had some of the most bizarre feelings ever! It didnt work, yet this happened to me:
My legs began to feel extremely heavy while my head felt like it was floating in the air and i could not hear anything at all!!! is that normal??

I've had this happen to me when I try WILD. I'm pretty sure that's normal.

Welcome! Lucidity isn't the same thing as dream control. Being Lucid just means you know your dreaming. But even if you don't have a lot of control, you still have the ability to choose your actions based on the knowledge that your dreaming. So even that gives you some small measure of control.

Perhaps a little bit late to answer to one of the first one, but i'll do it anyway.
The heaviness in the legs and floating away feeling is when you are entering SP.
And for the hearing i think that is normal to, but I haven't experienced that.

first of all you mind should be awake when you enter into sleep paralysis well if you are attempting a WILD then your mind should be awake

if you are fully lucid then you should be aware of everything around you and you should be in control of your dream if you are skilled enough i think there are certain things you can do to "change" your dreams

and you are doing awesome at dream recall i am not very good at it so good luck with attempting WILD but if you are new i would recommend RC you can read more about it on the front page so good luck!

WILDS is the hardest thing i have ever attempted in my life. the first time I tried I felt so weird, like my head was on a string and like my chest was elevated off of my bed. i have only slipped into a WILD three times, and each time I woke up shortly after due to over excitement. I am going to try one tommarow morning with these energy pills I have, they are called Total Energy, all natural. I will let you know if they help.

For me, it is just as it is here.. Only I know now I lie asleep in many other realities..
When asleep here, I seldom know I am anywhere but in the dream. But when I do know I am also here, I tend to know I am many many other places too..
I know who I am, as I become...

Like an involuntary spasm? A jerk? This is due to consciousness leaving the physical body and enetering into the dream body, Or consciousness settling and relaxing.

      hello
You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.

      1. Yep, although there are methods which do not require being awake throughout the process. More like, half-awake actually (you know, when you wake up veeeeeery early in the morning after sitting all night doing something and when you close your eyes you start seeing things and your dream again)

      2. By me, the first time i experienced it, it was while a dream was going.

AFAIK it was something along this:

I stood in a jungle, in the middle there was a lake, with a bridge and a boat tamed to it. After some seconds madonna appeared, and this is the moment it hit me, and i said to myself "wtf is this bullsh*t wth is this lame person doing here, meh im in a dream thats the only good thing in it atleast, oh well since if inally achieved it lets try out some skills" .

So i tried shooting fireballs and lighting and doing psychical stuff etc. All of it worked by the effect was weak, like the fireballs were small and not really overpowered etc. Probably because at that moment i tamed my dream, and my consciousness took over and entered its own rules, where nothing is over-exaggerated (normally id probably shoot out a friggin sun).

Anyway it was amazing, next day i had another one, and i noticed stuff was wrong because i stood in a city where the bridges were destroyed, an earthquake was happening and the moon was falling down. And i noticed instantly that it was a dream aswell.

Oh right, and while i was having this, i thought to myself "cool. im right here doing all these things, while outside im laying in bed in the other world".

Was an amazing experience to actually be in a different world!

I've been trying the last week or so, usually in an afternoon. Haven't succeeded yet, though I have had some numbness and involuntary jerks. I think I got close yesterday. It's incredibly difficult.
