Smile Newb here. Got Q's. Help Appreciated!

Hello all! I have to admit that I am really amazed something as wonderful as this forum exists.

I have been randomly been having DILD since I was in my young teens. I think that is what it is called when you are in a dream and realize you are dreaming. I have done things as flying, seen the most beautiful oceans and scenery, to even having powers like spiderman. I have interacted with other DCs, talked to people who have passed away, and made sure I could read words in dreams.

I also have had very bad low points where I was scared to sleep due to sleep paralysis and other "beings" trying to haunt/hurt me. I have had several nightmares where I have been hurt and I DO feel the pain. It feels as real as when I'm awake. I have mastered how to wake myself everytime when this happens. I also came at the realization that there is nothing truly there and it was in my mind. (I havn't had one of these in a long long long time thankfully).

Anyways, I always thought these things were random in occurance and just found out now that there are others who can do this every night. (This is what I am very interested in).

Going through the tutorials, it looks like learning how to WILD is a sure fire way to enter a LD effectively. I want to put best efforts into learning this method.

I'm wondering if this truly is the best or is there another one that is better?
I'm also wondering if doing this will leave me sleep deprived for work?

      Any comments are greatly appreciated!
