      Hi all!

Hi, my name is Richard and I'd like to learn more about lucid dreaming.

When I was younger (I'm 16 right now) I had dreams that I could fly but now I never get them and I don't seem to remember my dreams quite as often as I did.

Recently I have been just looking on the internet for interesting things and thats how I got to this website. I hope to have a lucid dream soon, I believe I've had them before but never really was able to take full control.

      later,

      Richard

      Hiya Richard!

Good you decided to join and register, we can help you loads. The homepage has quite some information but we're always here if you need help. Anyway, I'll help you start off.

Right, the first thing you must think about is keeping a Dream Journal, do this by making a normal journal, but give it a dreaming theme, and write every dream you have in the morning, into it, and if you're into taking naps, write them down too. We have a Dream Journal section here on the forum, you can start one if you want. The section has much more information about them, here - Click

Secondly, I recently came off a welcome thread of someone who is experienced and has had luck with Reality Checking; this is done by looking at your hands. Every now and then, or hour, or whatever you think means often, look at your hands and take a good look at them to see if they're real and if you're dreaming or not. The brain cannot generate your hands properly in your dream, so it forces your hands to look wrong in the dreaming realm, and when you see they're wrong, you know it! You're dreaming. There's many more you can take a look at in the following link, or if you need more information, feel free to visit this thread and have a good read - Click

I took that last link from the tutorial section which is in the yet following link; you can find useful tutorials here, including some advanced stuff you can try out in a while. If you want to learn more about Lucid Dreaming, I recommend you to read the "Lucid Dreaming Quick Start Tutorial" which is one of the stickies at the top. If you're interested, look here - Click

Lastly my friend, welcome to the community! We're very friendly, so feel free to ask any questions if you wish!

Yeah this was just for the first page but I'll probably attempt to draw things that happen to me in my dreams. I might even put them on the forum if they look like alright... probably not, I'll try some stuff in photoshop though, probably.
