Thread: Greetings

I would like to first say greetings to the community here. Just through a quick glance I can see that this is a very interesting forum.

I have taught myself how to achieve lucid dreams without any tutorials, I have been very successful so far for over the past year. I figured it would be a good idea to join a dreaming forum of some sort since I don't really know anything about lucid dreams at all.

to DV. Since you seem fairly experienced in getting lucid you might want to check out the tutorials for exploration techniques. Flying is always popular, your brain can make the most incredible landscapes and exploring them is half of the fun.

Also maybe check out the WILD technique, did you know that you can go directly into a lucid dream from the waking state?

Thanks for the welcoming. I was unaware that there was a way to have lucid dreams directly from the waking state, it sounds very interesting.

Nice to hear you worked up to lucid dreaming all on your own. Was there any particular method you used to become lucid?

Also, we usually recommend dream journals be kept. Helps with dream recall which in turn will make it more likely that you'll remember any lucid dreams you might have.

I took notice of certain aspects within my dreams that would allow me to become aware of dreaming. I made a discovery that pain was quite distinct from pain in the real world. I began to bite my fingers quite a bit to see if I'm dreaminng after something occurs which makes me feel as if I was in a dream. I pretty much do whatever I want within my dreams after I become aware. However, I sometimes have dificulty doing certain things.
