      Coming close to Sleep Paralysis?

I've been working on sleep paralysis for a bit now, and I don't exactly know if I'm close or not. I want to make sure that it isn't all in my head or something.

I lie down on my bed or recline in my chair, then I don't really think about anything. I try to relax completely and my arms, more specifically my hands, feel really heavy. I try not to think too much about it but I can't get the same feeling in my legs or anywhere else that I might need it to be.

I've read a couple of tutorials on sleep paralysis so I kind of know what I'm supposed to feel but, as always, I may be wrong. Can anyone point out anything wrong that I'm doing or give me a couple tips?

By the way, I listen to downbeat music while I do this.

I think you are going to have to explain what that is a bit. I am still kind of new to this. I have only had maybe two lucid dreams in my life. Only recently have I become really interested in it.

one problem i have is that some areas of my body feel heavier than others

e.g., my arms and legs will feel paralyzed, but i can still feel my chest and head and stomach because i am breathing and it is moving

Okay well basically a bi-neural beat is two solid sounds played through each ear except one sound is just slightly different. when your brain hears this its processed as type of "wah wah wah wah" sound. this sound influences your brainwaves to get desired results like changing your brainwaves to how they would be in a dream or in deep trance. go to www.brainwave-entrainment.com and look for "Series 1 the Lucid Dreaming version - trance induction"

Do I have to buy it? I don't think that I want to buy something if I can do it another way.

Hey Autumn, I sorta know what you mean with the heaviness and it not going away from some areas because I get the same sort of feeling when I try to get into SP. Now I've never gotten into full SP, but I got my legs there once so here's my advice: don't think about it. As soon as I start thinking about what I'm doing... it ruins the SP.

      Hope that helps.

That's true. Don't think about it.

I got to the vibration stage and it was quite a rush! But it's different for everyone. But one thing I noticed is that my mind was completely empty. I may even have drifted off into HI or even a very, very light sleep when suddenly it wooshed over me.

It was not while completely conscious of how my body felt that it happened. It was while I wasn't conscious of anything. I just laid perfectly still and ignored all feelings of discomfort and itchiness.

Have you read this thread? http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...hlight=jeff777

It's awesome and gave me a successful experience that I hope to repeat soon.

Thank you for helping me out guys. I'll have to try that out for the next couple of nights and see if I can do it. I'm so glad the community is so helpful.
