      Hey

Hey! I have been interested in Lucid Dreaming ever since someone posting something about it on a forum I regularly visit (this happened in the late fall of last year). From then I had searched for a while and read up on LDs, it was pretty fascinating. Shortly after, during the winter, I had a DILD. I could think, see things clearly, and move however I pleased. Although, I had no control over the dream at all aside from trying to reach a common goal. Needless to say, I was excited. When it didn't happen after a week, I stopped (no idea why). Now I've become interested again, with no intention of giving up. After finding these forums this last weekend, I feel it will become easier to have more.

The only thing relevant about me that I can think to say is that I am 16. :X

Anyway, I'm glad I decided to join up. From what I've been reading, you all sound like a great group of people.

Also, I have a question. I know it seems like it'd be obvious if I was experiencing sleep paralysis or not, but I'm not really sure. I did experience the tingly feeling, especially in my arms. I was lying on my back. Aside from my arms, the bottom half of my body (I mean like the back of my legs, back, and head) felt as rigid as stone. I couldn't feel that I was in my bed. The top half, however, still felt the blanket somewhat, and had remained fairly less tingly. I could also move them (I tried once). Anyway, on to my arms. They had been the most affected. I could feel them moving by themselves... very slowly. They were, for the most part, numb; however, I could still tell if they were moving or not. At first I felt like maybe I was starting a dream and they were just falling through the bed or something, but after roughly 10 minutes I felt them out in front of me, and I looked up. I was awake, and I did the dream checks and such, and concluded that I was indeed awake. I couldn't move my wrists or fingers at all, same went with my elbows, but my arms were in the air... it was very odd. But, until I could feel the blood rushing back (instead of being cold like it normally is, the blood was boiling), I still felt the tingly feeling and I could actually hear things that weren't there (sounded like cars right next to me passing by).

I believe I was fairly close to SP and possibly also WILD (would be my first ever). During a huge part of this my heart was pounding unbelievably hard and fast, but I knew what was going on. I think I ruined it, because I had the falling feeling once (felt like I was falling backwards and down, and the I felt a change like losing touch), but I was paying too much attention to it and it stopped.

Anyway, I apologize for the long post, I just felt like talking to people about it who are generally interested in (lucid) dreams.

      to DreamViews, snoop!

That does sound like an almost sucessful WILD. The only thing I would do differently is to try and clam my heartbeat if it starts to beat like that. (I hate the feeling. It's almost like the beating vibrates up to my teeth...)

Hope that helped you out some. Feel free to ask anyone anymore questions you might have on your mind.

And it's great that you're here!! We need some more serious dreamers like you.

Hi there, and welcome! I did the same thing as you, I just kind of gave up for a while and recently decided to start trying to LD again. I'm really new to lucid dreaming myself, but I've found these forums to be a huge source of inspiration to continue working at having them!
You create your own reality, and leave mine to me.
