Question I may have had a lucid dream but I'm not sure.

Looked into this site last night and thought it was pretty interesting but what was MORE interesting was what happened when I fell asleep. I had a dream I was at a childhood home of mine with some friends. The house was different but it was on the same plot of land. There was a cornfield behind the house and this was here in my dream. The first odd thing that I noticed was that a friend of mine, who is a musician and Irish, was walking around with a kilt and playing a bagpipe. He doesn't own a bagpipe and I pointed this fact out in the dream. It was at this point that I sort of became conciouse of the fact that this was not real. Next I looked out of a window that faces the cornfield to see a pegasus walking and flying around the cornfield. I had an odd feeling of nostalgia because I remembered daydreaming (or night dreaming...I'm not sure of which) about a pegasus flying around the same cornfield when I was young. Time passed and I did some other things in the dream and then I wanted to go see the pegasus again so I went back to the window and saw it. Now when I say I wanted to see it I mean that I conciously willed myself in the dream to walk to the window again and see the pegasus.
So my question here is does this sound like a lucid dream to anyone or just a normal one?

Well most people here would consider that a lucid dream but I only really consider fully controlled dreams to be LDs.

However, I can't make a difference to a normal dream. I'm sorry, maybe this does not mean a thing.
But when I got aware of what I can do in my dreams, I did what I wanted, right away.
It's the difference between seeing this girl on the street, wishing to ask her something or actually doing it.

When I found out that I can do what I want in my dreams and when I did it, well, it's like playing a realy cool game you like, but then it gets real.

Try to get behind the person you see in your dreams, try figuring out if it's you and if it's YOU controlling this person or more, if it's YOU being it.

I think I was always aware that I was dreaming, but it took me a long time to figure out, that it is me who is creating these dreams. Identifying these two I's as one, did the trick.
Not just like watching TV, passive. No, being inside the TV.

I hope I can help you with my yada, yada somehow.

      take care

There are many layers or levels of lucids.

The only prerequisite is to KNOW you are dreaming. If you KNOW you are dreaming then that is a lucid dream. Albeit a low level one.

Then the levels go up from there. From a little bit of control to complete control.

To recognise that you are dreaming is the baby steps to starting to control the dream.

Of course there are naturals who seem to have complete control right from the start. Everyone's different.

I often have other lucids that I forget or that I don't record for whatever reason.

Well in general an LD is a dream in which you know you're dreaming. Since you say you became conscious, I'd say you had an LD.

This might help you, it's an overview of dream levels by Ninja9578.
