Yeah same here, sometimes I don't recall my dreams right away, but even hours later after waking up I can sometimes remember them all, its a weird thing

I'm having trouble with dream recall too. It's possible that it's because the very instant I wake up, I move to get up. After I start to move, I tell myself to lie back down and close my eyes, but by now I've forgotten if I remembered anything. However, this morning I woke up, and after lying back down, I had thoughts about school & pencils...could this have been part of a dream?

Also I've been trying for 5 days now and the thought of school & pencils is the only thing I've ever gotten from any night...even when I used WBTB for the first 4 nights and auto suggestion I have no recall at all. Hopefully it will pick up soon, because the best dream recall I've ever had is about 1 dream per 2-3 days.

If you can't remember anything at all I sometimes just let it pass (unless i get the feeling it was a great dream) because your memory may have had a clear out as you were opening your eyes, however if i can remember even the smallest detail i try to remember as much about that detail as possible, feeling around it for why it was there, whose was it, why was i looking at it, what was I feeling at the time and with this my memory offen unfolds into the whole story in all it's glory. Once again, as is said above, keep relaxed as you do this and don't get fustrated.
