What does false awakening mean?

Essentially a false awakening is when you think you actually wake up in your bed, but in actuallity you are dreaming. This is often how my LD's start when i try to WILD, you just have to remember to do a reality check, which is my problem.

I think i'm gonna make an RC everytime i wake up I've thought about doing that but until I have more false awakenings I'm not gonna worry about it. Every FA I've ever had has been because of an LD. I'll wake up in my dream and be like oh man i just had an LD but actually if I just checked I would realize it is a dream. Many times I will realize this though or just naturally act almost as if it's an LD without consciously thinking about it just because my mind will be in LD mode since I just had one. It's almost as if our mind want us to dream but not LD so it makes us think we've awakened.

The terrible thing is I had two false awakenings in the last two nights, I forgot to reality check though and found myself waking up angry a few minutes later heh.

Yeah we've all been there, like when you wake up and go omg how could I not have realized that was a dream. For some reason the only time I get FAs is when I'm in or close to a LD.
