      Couple Newbie questions

Hello, I'm brand new here and have only had one or two lucid dreams in my life, and I hadn't heard of a dream journal until recently, so they've begun to fade away.

So, I'm going to give it a shot again, and I had just a couple questions so I don't do something stupid.

      1. Should I limit myself at first to prevent anything catastrophic?

      2. Would becoming the Hulk be too much of an anger overload and wake me up? I've always wondered what it'd be like to be the not-so-jolly green giant.

      3. There's a bunny somewhere in all of my dreams, lucid or otherwise, and I've been tempted to poke it. Is that a bad idea?

      4. I have the single most random mind in a three-hundred mile radius of my house, are there any proven methods that can help me calm down and focus?

      5. Does this contradict my relgion (Christianity[I doubt my pastor knows about this stuff, so this place is my second option])?

Thank you in advance, sorry if I broke a rule on my first post, and please forgive anything that seems weird about this post, as I go slightly insane if I stay awake past 10:00.

Ok first thing is first I love your randomness because im almost as random (pudding!!!!).
So to your questions. 1.No idea (wow im really helpful so far). 2.I'm pretty sure you don't need to "Hulk out" to become the Hulk in your dreams. Just think I'm the Hulk while your lucid (I think). 3. Poke it!!!!!!! 4. I think if you meditate that might help. Just breath deep and imagine all the energy moving slowly out of your body. 5. Not that I know of and I doubt it.

      Welcome to DV!

1: Not really any need to limit yourself. Don't worry about anything catastrophic happening, the worst thing that can happen is that you wake up. Nothing can physically hurt you in dreams. Though I will advice you to stay as calm and relaxed as you can when reaching lucidity, or trying to do anything. Too much excitement might wake you up (but it doesn't have to).

2: Try it! It's a safe anger outlet, and as you said, the worst thing that can happen is that you wake yourself up. And if you do, just lie still and try to return to the dream.

3: Poke it! And please report what happens when you do. I'm intrigued.

4: As already mentioned, try meditating. If your thoughts still wander while meditating, try listening to some calming music, and focus on the music.

5: No. Dreaming is a natural thing, and lucid dreaming can happen naturally, too. I know there are several Christian lucid dreamers on here, as well. If someone tells you otherwise, I really wonder why they would consider it a contradiction.

Don't hesitate to ask if you are more questions.

That covers it but the bunny rabbit that you kept seeing you need to remember this is your dream sigh

About the whole lucid dreaming/christianity thing, i wouldn't really recommend asking your pastor- it could be taken the wrong way seeing as in general not many people know much about it. however by all means keep trying; for a lot of people dreaming has strengthened their faith so go ahead and poke the rabbit

      1. No, nothing bad can happen to you.

      2. Maybe when you're new to it. Just keep your heart rate slow, your real heart rate is the same as your dream heart rate, so if you get it too fast the extra O2 to your brain will wake you up.

      3. Go for it. You could also follow it down its hole, it's this months Task of the Month!

      4. Meditation, try this: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=58032

      5. I doubt it, there are a few christians here. In fact, I'm pretty sure that there is mention to a lucid dream somewhere in the bible
