      Newbie Introduction. =]

I never really know what to say in these introductions.. but.. Hi, I'm Elektra, and I'm seventeen. =]

I've always been interested in the idea of lucid dreaming- even before I knew what it was. So I was pretty excited to learn that this could actually be done. I have been researching it for awhile.. and lately, I have been able to realize that I have been dreaming, but I don't really have control.
I soon plan on purchasing a Dream Mask, probably, well, The Dream Mask.

I have one question in particular about Lucid Dreaming..
I know you can reach complete and total control of your dreams, but lets say..

Lets say I want to create my own little story. Like.. I want to go to California, Marry a Celeb, become famous, and walk the red carpet.
Or I want to be a Pirate on a pirate ship, on a mission to retrieve gold from.. Atlantis.

Can achieving more of a storyline be done, like, dreaming about anything you want? Or is Lucid Dreaming more or less just going along with what you're dreaming about, but be in control of it?

Welcome to Dreamviews. I think it is very possible to run a story line. Or, you can change the scenery in the dream, so it's not just like going along with what you are dreaming about, but in control.

      Thank you! =]
I thought so, but I just had to be sure. It's obviously going to take a lot of work, but that's why I'm here!

      Haha, effort?
Where is the effort, where is the effort?

You are dreaming, how to not realise you are dreaming?
How incomprehensible, you are dreaming but where is this experience?

You are right now! Where else to be? Be here, be lucidity.
Be this to your life, dreams are but one part. Be this to your very living.

Without lucidity in life, where is lucidity in dream?
It is no greater than imagination, if so!
Be lucidity in life, lucidity in dream is synchronous!
You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.

Stop rambling on soo much ClouD ..

ANY WHO I think it would be possible to create a storyline and also I think it would be possible to have this storyline to run over multiple dreams if you want it to

I haven't really gotten to the point to create a storyline in a dream yet but it would be fascinating to do so..

      Hi Elektra.

I use lucid dreaming to make crazy storylines all the time. I use dream incubation to start a dream about the subject matter of my choice. Then, if I'm lucky enough to be lucid, I can step in and exert control where I want. I often change scenes if I don't like where something is going, or I rewind time to 'redo' something. If you learn dream reentry techniques, you can get some crazy long dreams that can be very satisfying.

If you start keeping a dream journal, you will find that even your non-lucid dreams will become pretty spectacular.

Control comes with practice, like anything else. You will get it eventually.

If you are lucid and in control you can do whatever story you want, but if you want to do that without being lucid you will need to learn how to do dream incubation. It's difficult to do and rarely do you actually get what you want.

Thank you all for your replies!

I've started a dream journal, and I have begun to do reality checks and everything. I kind of feel as if I'm coming closer to a lucid dream every night!
I dreamed last night about doing reality checks, but I didn't become lucid.

Yay for storylines! I write a lot, so to be able to play out some of my stories would be awesome!

I'll have to search around for things on dream incubation.. Though I'd rather be lucid. =]
