Hey! New to this, I would like help from somone not so new to this!

Hey guys! Thanks for trying to help me out . Ive got a few questions about dream recall. Im a little unsure about what to do. Im trying to make a checklist on what to do for this. I know that before going to sleep I need to "Talk To myself". I was thinking about using a tape recorder instead of a journal, but I would be happy to use a journal if it is more helpful. If thats ok, then I need to know when to set my alarm for, if I plan on going to sleep around ten. Sorry about the confusing format of this post . Ill be standing around, so if you've got anything to say to me, or questions you would like to ask me, Ill respond very quickly! Also, is it a big deal that I cant always keep a constant sleep schedule? Sometimes Ill go to sleep at around 10, sometimes at as late as 1.

i'll try to help you out anyway even if technically you're not suppose to be here lol.
having a recorder is fine as long as you get back to it and start noticing dream signs etc.
i prefer writing them down though because it's easier for me to see what i dreamed, and i can go through my entries easier in general. you can do both, have a recorder and write them down later. that's probably the best way to do it, because i hate having to write early in the morning, or in the middle of the night
having a schedule for sleep is important but not crucial. i find it hard to keep a schedule but it's best to have one, and to sleep 8-9 hours for best results.
if you want to lucid dream you can't be too tired. you'll see what i mean when you get more experience.

best of luck, and if you have any questions i'll be glad to answer or someone here with more experience than me would be happy to answer.
