      Question Weird Reality Checks

      Hi!

Iīm Lily- and just started to learn about Lucid Dreaming.
As long as i can think i can influence the topic iīm dreaming about when going to sleep, and i rememeber my past 2-3 days of dreams whenever i lie down in bed :-)

When i go to sleep i can feel the paralysis first, then i see coulors and occasionaly hear sounds- then i go to sleep. (Thats good, right?)
I tried to do reality checks in my last 3 dreams- in all i tried to hold my nose and breathe- i discovered that i usually donīt have hands to do that in my dreams :-)
so i had to "make" hands to hold my nose and pinch my finger trough them- it worked- but as i was wishing my hands on i knew i was dreaming.... i think it sounds really weird..
I got kinda scared and just let the dream go on without interfering further..

Can anyone tell me if thatīs right what iīm doing?
      i would really appreciate help,
      Lily

Don't get scared, it's only a dream. Somehow, I get scared of something, and that inferes with my intent of having an LD. I don't know what it is though...

Good job, realizing that having to wish hands into existance meant you were probably dreaming.

Feeling sleep paralysis (SP) and then seeing the colors (hypnagogic imagry - HI) is good, means you will probably find a lot of LD techniques to be fairly easy.

If you aren't already, I suggest starting a dream journal (DJ) because it will help you remember more dreams, and remember them long term. That is great that you already have a decent ability to recall your dreams. That is so important in lucid dreaming.

A lot of lucid dreamers often allow their lucid dreams to just continue on without doing anything unusual. Most naturals do this in the majority of their LDs. Sometimes I get the most enjoyment out of simply knowing I'm dreaming and doing "nothing" to change the dream. So, yeah, you are doing good.

When first getting into LDing I think it is wise to not go crazy right at first with doing wild dream tricks and stuff. I believe it helps build confidence -- that you can LD, and that your LDs are stable and long-lasting. After a few LDs trying dream tricks will be a lot more comfortable.

If you need anything feel free to ask or PM me.
