      Greetings

      Hello to you all.

I have been conscious dreaming for some years. I started having OBEs about 5 years ago and from there have moved to my preferred altered state of conscious dreaming. I still get OBEs and all the semantic variations, but I find conscious dreaming so much more fun and meaningful.

I consider myself quite lucky in that generally I “just wake up” in the middle of a dream. Over the years, I have learned how to prolong these adventures and have been through quite a few stages of progression.

Sharing my conscious dreams is something I enjoy – however they can be lengthy posts, as I tend to bring back a lot of memories (which makes sense because at the time I was as conscious as I am now!)

Since being young, I always have been interested in dreaming and give my dreams huge respect, which I feel has played a big part in being able to conscious dream.

Personally, I am female, no spring chicken (ha!) and live in the UK.

I look forward to healthy interesting discussions with you all, and reading/sharing experiences.

      Chameleon

      Welcome to DV!

You sure has come to the right place to share lucid dreaming experiences. Maybe you will want to start a dream journal and share your lucid dreams there?

I'm looking forwards to reading all about your experiences. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Welcome. I'm new to this site, and rather new to "formal" lulcid dreaming (that is to say, attempting to become a frequent lucid dreamer via practice and focus.) I am no "spring chicken" either. It's good to know there are other "Sr. Dreamers" out there! So far I've had only one recent DILD, but it was a doozy and has fed my desire to have more LD's. It appears you have been blessed with a wonderful dream life; I hope you will pass on any hints or suggestions to help attain greater lucidity.

Thank you for the warm welcome Luminous, Wavygravy and apachama.

Wavygravy (love the name) - it’s a bit of a relief to find I’m not the only “senior” here. I’m always a tad concerned when I join a forum whether it will be full of youngsters who seem to talk a different language to me!

Anyway, I’m finding my way around and enjoying some of the posts. No doubt I’ll bump into you all on the boards.

      Chameleon.

It sounds like you have some great experiences to share. I can't wait

There are people of all ages and experience levels floating around the community. I always find it crazy to see how a 15 year old and a 60 year old can have such similar themes in their dreams, while leading such different lifestyles. I guess dreaming is one of those things that can reflect the beautiful humanity we all try so hard to hide.

Thanks Cham. I know what you mean about feeling strange in a world geared to youth, but as Robot Butler said, we seem to have a lot in common when it comes to our dream lives. I am gearing up to get to bed soon, and find myself approaching bedtime with a totally new attitude. I can't wait to see what will happen. I think, "will I be lucid tonight?" I find myself fantisizing throughout the day about what I might say and/or do the next time I become lucid in my dreams. My father has been dead for about 12 years now, and I miss him, so having a chat with him while we are fishing sounds like a great place to begin. Tonight maybe?

Welcome to Dream Views! There is an active group of members who are interested in OBEs. You can find threads related to those kinds of things in the "Beyond Dreaming" area. Nice to have you here!
