Hey! Im new (first dream control)

Hello to everyone! I'm new to the forums and want to really attempt to progess in having lucid dreams and controlling them. I've read this site before but never gotten into anything, but last week I had my longest lucid dream which was also only about the third one I can remember having. In the dream I had no sign to help me realize I was dreaming I just realized and I kept myself calm to no wake myself up quickly (like in my first two) after that I quickly remember the spin technique i had read off this site and changed my surroundings to the parkinglot of the school I go to, I then tried making a lambogheni(sp) to drive by closing my eyes and thinking of one but ended up making a video game steering wheel! Then I decided to try and make one of my friends appear to me by closing my eyes and thinking of them but when I opened my eyes i was awake : (. After having this control in my dream I've been very intrested in all this so I'm going to start the process of dream journals and such so hopefully you will see more of me in the near future : D.

Also I wanted to ask...should i close my eyes when trying to create things or when changing my surroundings or will I get the same results with my eyes open? (just for future reference) thx in advance and I'll talk to you all later.

I don't think closing your eyes is a good idea. For me it tends to either wake me up or give me a false awakening. Usually just turning around is the best idea.

Good to have you here at Dream Views!

That is cool that you are seeing some progess in your goal of controling your LDs. Like Ninja9578 said, some people have trouble with waking up when they close their eyes in a dream. Besides turning around you could also try looking at another spot, like up at the sky.

      Good luck!
