      YaNiH

      Yet another Newbie introducing himself:

      Hi all!

Half a year or so ago I was watching a Star Trek episode where they explained what Lucid Dreaming is, and I thought whoa is that for real? Sat down and asked google. And yup it was real.
Since then I've been reading up on the topic and practicing; my dream recall improved dramatically (I've rarely remembered any dreams since I suppressed memories of dreams entirely for fear of nightmares as a child), but safe for two lucid moments (I believe it's called) I have met little success yet.

I'm the shy type, so I avoided posting in forums 'til now, when the Star Trek Thread made me want to post a reply. Not a overly great or poetic or long or whatever reply, but... anyway. I like to think it started something. Maybe I'm right, maybe not.

Well... before anyone dies of boredom, I will just leave it at that.

Thx for reading and for any future help.

I often feel a bit shy going to a new forum. I always expect the oldbies to come running at me with flaming torches and shout at me and genreally not be very nice.

      ...

But we're so nice here. Expect a tide of fluffy bunnies and cuddles and love from the Dream Guides. And perhaps a few bars of chocolate from the moderators.

Oh yeah; welcome. (It's funny how I almost forget this bit each time).

Heh, most people overlook that and actually call me Dragon. But I guess with your nick the question was natural

Well, Drangon stems from my AOL past. I had run through my list of well over 20 Nicknames I considered and every single one was already taken, even if I appended my birthyear, and because I didn't want more than two numbers in the nick I began randomly hacking in Nicknames and wordplays on my name - all taken - and finally entered Dragon. I expected it to be taken as well, but to my utmost surprise it was not.

Half an hour later I discovered the typo.

I kept the nick though, because it is pretty unique and depending on how you pronounce it, or add something to it, it sounds funny. You could for example add "Jinn" and it would sound like a Jedi-Name ("Dran Gon Jinn") or if you really twist it, it sound's like "Train gone" ("Oops, too late"), or....
