Smile Hello everybody! I have weird dreams.

      Hi,
I've always had weird dreams and it seems to make for interesting conversation. Lately I've been having some REALLY strange dreams. I've never actually thought of sharing these dreams with other dreamers until I found this forum. For some reason I can remember my dreams with great detail, at least the ones that are not boring. I really make an effort to remember the exciting ones! Anyway I'm looking forward to posting these dreams in a journal and see what other people have to say. Maybe I can make some sense of them.
I was wondering though, are there limitations as to how graphic I can be in my explanations? Some of my dreams can be really violent, and contain sexual content. Should I censor the really explicit stuff? Although I do like to explain my dreams as detailed as possible because it seems so real.
Oh, I had an idea to storyboard my dreams with some quick sketches. Is there a place on this forum where you can show illustrated dreams?

Hmmmm, as for lucid dreams, I have never heard of that. My dreams are always uncontrollable and completely random. If I do become aware that I'm dreaming I always wake up. Maybe I will try this lucid thing. I guess I have what I call "hallucinogenic" dreams where I'm about 85% asleep and 15% awake. A very light sleep. I can control those dreams to a point, but they are never as fulfilling as my deep sleep dreams. One good thing though, during those dreams I find solutions to some of my real-life problems. Or at least another way to look at the problem at hand.

Hope to meet some cool peoples on this forum and share some interesting dreams!

      Welcome to DV!

The members here are 15 years or older, so you will want to take that into consideration. Also, the general forum rules apply. You can post dream illustrations in your dream journal, and/or in the Artists' Corner. There is even a stickied thread titled "draw your dreams" that you might find interesting.

Also, if you have a specific dream that you would like interpreted, you can post it in Dream Interpretation.

And you seem to have had some "low level" lucid dreams, so you're off to a good start!

Cool thanks for the responses and pointing out some starting points! There is some excellent information on this forum. I've never had a dream journal, I've always just memorized the really good dreams I have. Hopefully once I start a journal on here I will remember even more dreams and maybe have some success with lucidity.
