      Can't dream...at all!

So for the last 4-5 nights i have not recalled any dreams whatsoever! It's really bugging me, here i am working to have an LD, but i can't even have a non LD. I am going to start a DJ, but I can't dream at all! Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and by the way, i was wondering what "WBTB" stands for. I have looked in the acronyms list and browsed around threads for an answer but i can't find it anywhere.

Everyone has dreams. If you say you don't, you just have 0 recall. BUT NOT TO FEAR! The DJ method almost always works. Once you start to recall fragments of a dream, work your way toward recalling even more every night, whilst keeping up a DJ.

And within the first few seconds of waking up from sleep, you always remember a dream. However, after those few seconds are up, your brain is whiped clean and the dreams are gone forever. That's why you either: A. Stay in bed and strengthen the memory. However, even if you manage to remember even more, you're still at risk of losing the memory. Or B: Quickly get up and record your memories in a DJ. Guaranteed, this will help.

WBTB stands for Wake Back to Bed. To use this method, you must get 5-6 hours of sleep. You wake up, preferrably early in the dark hours of the morning, and get out of bed. At this time, it's recommended to do everything with lucidity in mind. Read a lucidity article, or write a lucidity paper, anything pertaining to lucid dreaming.

After you've done this, you can go to bed using the MILD, WILD, or HILD techniques. Lucid methods are more than twice as likely to work after 5-6 hours of sleep. Any less time will decrease the likeliness of LDs, or your goal, Dream Recollection.

I hope this helps you; took me a long time to write it. Enjoy the journey; it only ends if you give up.
In a world where darkness is fear, there's always that light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm having exactly the same problems! I've een taking a vitamin b6 tablet before bed and it is working a little - I'm aware of having dreamed but am still having trouble recalling them upon waking up.

You can try the all working Vit B Complex pills and see if your dream recall has improved or not.... It should also work when you take it at the stated dosage of the bottle but avoid taking them near bedtime or you may find it difficult to fall asleep. You can also try drinking SOME redbull right before bed and not the whole can. I did a measured test of 75,100 and 150mls. The 100ml works well when it's new but the amount has to be increased as the can is left in the fridge longer. Another way to 'improve' dream recall is to leave a dim light on, dim enough for you to fall alseep but bright enough for you to see the light with your eyes closed, theory is that you don't fall in as deep a sleep to not remember your dreams.

If you can afford to lose a little sleep, you can try setting an alarm to go off a few times during your REM cycles for a few nights, and attempting to recall your dreams previous to awakening.

thanks! i will try it all(not in one night) its still summer so i can afford to lose a lot of sleep. I also have trouble just falling asleep period. I usually lie in bed for a few hours until i finally drift off, which is very annoying. Any advice?
