      Yet another new dreamer

      Hey everyone

I've only recently got to know the subject of lucid dreaming and was pretty fascinated by it. I did some research, read through a couple of sites (including some topics in this forum).
My dream recall had been lousy for ages, so I've started using tricks (glass of water, waking myself early, ...) and I've started a dream journal with pretty good results, I can now recall about at least one dream most of the nights.

However, now I'm kind of stuck. It might very well be that I'm just too impatient though. I'm pretty happy with my improved dream recall, but I want lucidity I'm struggling to remember doing reality checks during the day, but even if I make a few, my logic during the nights remains completely turned off. No matter how unrealistic the dream, I don't have the slightest doubts. Do I just need to perform more reality checks during the day? Or are there some other suggestions you can give me?

      Thanks in advance

I suggest reading this tut on getting started. Here is a tut on reality checking that should answer your questions. Do RC during the day. That is the only way you can expect to RC in a dream -- for it to become a habit!

As always, ask any questions you may have. Or you can PM a member of the staff (like me )

Hey seeker, thanks for the reply. I guess I'm just not patient enough with myself. I'll try to make RCing a real habit before expecting too much in-dream progress then
Meanwhile, I'll just try to enjoy dreaming the way it is

Welcome to DV, Atrox. As I have learned, patience is the key to lucid dreaming. I don't know about anyone else, but I find that if you know what your dreams mean, lucid dreaming for me is a lot easier.
Question: Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
      Answer: Neither, single-celled organisms did.
