Cool New here and really want to have lucid dreams

      Hey everyone,
I'm Kate and i am new here. I foudn this site after searching up 'how to have lucid dreams' on google. I had one the night before last, it only lasted a second but I felt incredibly happy. I really enjoyed it and would like to know how i can learn to have them frequently.
It seems that dream recollection is quite important, and i can remember my dreams quite well. I have started a dream diary...
what else can i do to have lucid dreams??

and can anolog watches be used as a reality check?
      thanks!

to Dreamviews! Did you wake up out of excitement in your lucid the other night? Try to stay calm and do a reality check and "ground" yourself into the dream. Rubbing your hands is something that worked very well for me when I was starting out. The dream got exceptionally more vivid after a second. Try out some methods of inducing lucids like WILD or WBTB, you can find some excellent tutorials on them in the tutorial section. Watches are a pretty common reality check. If you set it so it goes off every hour or so, hopefully you will dream about it. Just remember to do a reality check every time it goes off. Don't get lazy!

      Thanks. And yes...oops
      What is a WBTB?
My watch doesn't have an alarm i'm afraid. So can you do reality checks any time throughout the day or does it have to be specificully when something odd happens?

      WBTB
is Wake-Back-To-Bed. As for the reality checks, I like doing them when something seems off. But if you want to time them, if you have an alarm on your cell phone (if you have one) set it for different times throughout the day.

Thanks! I don't think i could do a WBTB, i tried fall asleep (yesturday) after i'd woken up but i am not the sought of person who can do that. once i'm up...i'm up lol
I don't seem to have any sought of portable alarm...and i keep forgetting to do the Reality Checks. But anyhow i shall keep trying!!

Also, would thinking of a task to acheive whilst dreaming help me gain lucidity?
