Thread: New to the Site and has a question.

Yea Im new here. Hi.

Basically the last 2 nights that I have been dreaming, I have thought to myself in the dream "Im dreaming" or "This is a dream". Well what I want to know is, How do you know for a fact that your Lucid dreaming? And Is it possible to only think in your dream that your are Lucid?

I mean, I have been here before looking at some of the information but I never tried to consciously try it out with teh Dream guides and dream techniques. It just kinda happened. Not to mention I have only ever Written down 1 of my dreams in my whole life but I have good dream recall, Like I will remember EVERYTHING in my dream and I still do for about 4-5 dreams I could just write them out exactly how they happened and what was around me and everything.

But yea I am looking for some anwsers quick. I dont know if I want to be a regular to this site, but I know if I get good at LDing than I probly will.

Thinking and being aware that you are dreaming while still in the dream is all it takes for it to be a lucid dream, so well done!

For some people, it's enough to hear that lucid dreaming is possible, for them to have a lucid dream. Some also have lucid dreams without knowing that there even is a term for it, because no one ever told them about it.

Like when you go to sleep you dont dream, you just go lucid naturally and you live out whatever you want?

Im wondering that since the other night I had a nightmare about a zombie apocolypse but I survived.

That is the WILD technique where you go to the dream conciously. But for normal dreams you get lucid either in the middle if your lucky or tail end of the dream. The only time I was able to get lucid from start to end of the dream was during a dream rentry meaning I woke up briefly from a previous dream and went back to sleep immediately having the same dream but only this time I did a reality check and became lucid.

There are different levels of lucidity. Sometimes you can know it is a dream, but not realize the full ramifications of what this means. For example, I had a month where every time I got lucid, I thought "Lucid Dreaming" meant I was dead I don't know why, but I somehow confused the two in my dreamy-stupid state.

For a dream to be considered lucid, technically, all it takes is for you to know it is a dream. Understanding what that means, and having control can come separately. I bet, with a few more lucids, you will develop better control and awareness.
