Hey, so I'm pretty new here, and am an inexperienced lucid dreamer. Though I've had multiple lucid dreams, they're really lacking in... substance, I guess is the right word.
Oh, I know most of these are probably already answered, but I'm not totally sure where to look, so sorry for reposting a repost of a repost's repost, but it'll make my life a little easier
A typical lucid dream for me would probably be me questioning something that I do, which leads to me going lucid. However I never really stay lucid that long, usually 4-6ish minutes and it can be a little more fuzzy than it was before I went lucid. My control is okay, but could be better. Sometimes when I try to fly I can only jump very high and fall slowly (even though that is still pretty kick ass), or if I want to shoot lightning bolts from my fingertips I only produce minimal static, or something completely different.
Ok, that wasn't really a question, but any advice in that topic would be very benefitial.
First real question, how specific should my dream journal be? I usually try to keep it very specific, but lately I've been getting somewhat lazy and have been taking fewer and fewer details. I've noticed that my dreams have been less vivid than before, is that from my lazyness?
Me and my friends are probably going to smoke some pot later tonight. I've heard that can affect dream recall, is that true?
Granted, I don't smoke much, if I had to put a number on it, I'd say no more than 2 times a month, and usually I go a few months without.
I've heard there are certain foods and vitamins that can help with dreams in general, do they help or are they more placebo.
Finally, what is a dream guide. I've heard some talk about them, but never really a definition, if there is one.
Thank you in advance for helping out a noob.
