Having trouble getting my first LD

I have been trying to get my 1st lucid dream for awhile now, off and on for a year or two. I have read LaBerge's book and I have friends who do it really easily. I have a dream journal, tried awake back to bed, and even attempted a WILD. My dream recall is on average 2 dreams a night.

Does anyone have a suggestion of something different that they have tried that works? I am just feeling frustrated.

      Thanks

Maybe you should try DEILD. It's a faster form of WILD where you recognize that you are awake after a dream has ended. If you don't move or open your eyes, it's almost guaranteed you will slip into a lucid dream. If you have an alarm clock or watch that doesn't keep ringing until you turn it off, try use that to wake you up. Here's a tutorial on it:

Also check the newsletter for a section on it.

Other than that, keep at it. The first one is often the hardest to get. Once you get the "feel", they get much easier.
