Looking for some tips(have been successfull few times)

Well id just like to start off by saying i think this forum is amazing, has a lot of interesting information that has helped me with lucid dreaming!

I find lucid dreaming very very interesting.

      Well heres my story.

First time i appempted to lucid dream it worked in teh first try, using WILD. Woo ok. Second time i was in a dream already and realised it had to be a dream and woo lucid

Now ever since then i have not been able to become lucid anymore. Ive be trying WILD countless amounts of times. I get to the point where my body because all numb and feel like im spinning in my bed ect but i never dream. I eventually just fall asleep, and dream about something but not be able to realise its a dream/become lucid.

I usually eat some cereal before i got to sleep ( which has a good amount of vitamin b6 in it)

Any tips on how i can increase my success rate. Maybe im doing something wrong.

      thanks

Congrats on getting your first Lucid by WILD! Thats quite an achievement, the WILD can be a pretty patience trying method.

The best advice is the standard advice. Keep a Dream Journal, Reality Check constantly, and keep learning as much as you can about Lucid Dreaming.

Whenever you remember a Dream, write it down! Date it, give it a creative title that speaks, and write down as many possible details about the dream. The whole Who, What, When, Where, Why and How. Even if you don't remember the whole dream, write down what you can. Where you were, who was around you, what you were doing. Even things such as how you felt. If you remember a Dream in the middle of the night when/if you wake up, but can't spend time writing pages and pages, take jot notes and fill in the rest later! This will help you remember your dreams. What good is LDing if you can't remember what you've done?

We even offer an online Public Dream Journal section
here. As well as a Private Journal, for Dreams you don't wish to share (as well as being able to start a Non-Dream Related Private Journal), here.

Next thing I can suggest is constantly reality check, and always try to keep Lucid Dreaming on the mind. Try to make it a habit, like biting your nails, to reality check. Do things like plugging your nose and trying to breathe, trying to push your finger through your palm, or flicking light switches and seeing if the lights go on or off. Do all this while asking yourself "Am I Dreaming?"

I personally like the Finger-through-Palm Reality Check. I do this while taking in my surroundings, paying attention to every detail, and trying my damnedest to find something that isn't right, or something that is off. In the waking life it tends to be a fool's errand to try and find something that defies natural laws, but making an effort to find it in waking life, you'll mimic this habit in the Dream world where you will succeed. Finding things like that, things that are off, will allow you to realize its a Dream and become Lucid.

My final advice is, aside from reading the extreme wealth of Lucid Dreaming information on our boards, to check out our
Tutorials section (currently undergoing some changes. Read the thread posted there) which may help you with the WILD or other methods of becoming Lucid.

Good Luck! If you have any other questions feel free to ask! We also have a team of "Dream Guides" represented by their Green names and Stars. They are who they are because of their knowledge on Dreaming and their helpfulness in the community. They, as well as myself and many others here, would be more than happy to help

      Happy Dreaming!

It is normal for a technique to work only once. Because by being lucid in a dream it changes the brain chemistry a bit I don't know how but it does. So that makes techs hard to work everytime. You will have to find and try other ways to have them. And if you'd tried other techs, WILD may work for you again that's how my LDs come about by cycles. Like this method has been used and no longer works I'll have to change to one I used before in the past and I get an LD! And vice versa so I have about 10 variations of the same tech I use and about a few other new techs which I rotate.

I have the same thing happen. I'm normally successful the first time with a new technique, and then the success rate drops off. I sort of cycle through a few different induction methods, and take breaks every once and a while.
