      Hey everybody

      I found out about lucid dreaming a while ago, and I thought it was awesome. Last night I tried to focus on lucid dreaming while I was falling asleep. Once I was asleep, I did a reality check and I realised that I could breathe through my pinched nose. Everything was still like a regular dream though, and I think that I really just dreamed about lucid dreaming. Also, I'm HORRIBLE at recognizing dream signs. REALLY weird stuff happens in my dreams all the time, and it's always just completely normal. Does anybody have any tips to help me out?

      What you had was probably a lucid dream. You became aware you were dreaming, and that's all that matters. Congrats and try to get dream control next time!

      A tip I generally give for reality checks: Do them in waking life constantly. ex. Check the time. If the clock isn't at some random number, or it's not flitzing around, you're not dreaming. Or you could look at your hands. If you still have 5 fingers on each hand, it's real.
