Do you keep bad dreams out of your dream journal.

...???well I have had some sick scary dreams that I prefer not to write on paper.
Is avoiding these dreams on my dream journal counter productive?

No. In fact, the only way I can deal with some of my more... messed-up dreams (not gruesome, but scary) is to write them out and analyse them. Try and find menaning, talk them over with others. I couldn;t deal with not writing down my worst dreams, and I expect it would be counterproductive to recall and dream understanding if you picked and chose what dreams you recorded.

Yeh, it is best to write everything you dream about into your DJ. If it is really graphic or scary, like a hardcore sex dream of some sort, keep your DC somewhere safe where nobody can get to it.
Question: Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
      Answer: Neither, single-celled organisms did.

I would rather not write down some of my sex dreams...

Everything else I would be willing to write down though.

I write down all of my dreams, though the dreams I preferr to keep secret I write down in hex (which I memorized to pass unreadable notes to my friends in class in school a while back).
Remember from where you came, and stay true to your ideals. There is no place for those who have lost their souls.

You should write them down, that way you can recognize some aspects of the bad dreams as a dream sign and help you get lucid.

I've had a few dreams that were so horrible, I try to forget them as soon as I wake up. Just erase them from my memory. Besides that, I write down almost everything, embarassing, scarry, or disturbing. Sometimes writing it down makes it seem less...bad.

Yeah same here. I mostly try to write down all of my dreams except the downright "disturbing" ones.
