      Questions, please answer

      i have a few questions

should i attempt a wild after staying up all night because i have heard it is possible but just harder? and if so how much longer would it take?

would listening to my ipod be a good or a bad idea whilst attempting this? , because i usually get bored whilst attempting to wild

It should be easier to enter HI state because your so tired you reach it faster/immediate. Then comes holding on to conciousness while HI is going on, that is the tricky part when you are tired.

its easiest if you sleep for 5 or 6 hours before attempting a wild,

The reason it is reccomended to wait to WILD until after 3-6 hours of sleep is because the first cycle of REM sleep (when you will dream) normally doesn't take place until after 90 minutes of sleep. This first REM cycle will be very short (not more than a few minutes). If you wait until after sleeping (usually 3-8 hours) it is faster to enter a REM phase (don't have to wait 90 minutes) and the REM phase will last longer. As the night goes on the REM phases (dream phases) last longer and longer.

So, in summary, if you do try to WILD first thing at night you will have to work hard for only a few minutes of dream time. But if you wait until you have slept for a while you will slip into the dream state more easily and the dream will last much longer.

As long as the music won't enterfeer with your ability to fall asleep, I see no problem with it.

Don't focus on the music though, it should start sounding really weird while you enter SP and if you move your focus back to the music then you might loose it.
