My First DILD!

Yay! In a dream, I saw a friend of mine who is not currently attending my school, which is a dreamsign of mine. The days of conditioning paid off. I did a reality check (the classic finger-through-the-palm), and when it worked I became lucid! The dream was a tad on the boring side, but I did try exercising a bit of dream control, with mixed results... -I got in a fight with a hovering girl wearing an evil expression. She could telekinetically shoot bloody bricks at me. I tried blocking telekinetically, but had no luck and was forced to dodge. -I tried to make the girl go 'poof' and dissapear, but it didn't work. She only dissapeared after I beat her, ...touched her boobs (which I felt really bad about later because I have a girlfriend IRL and I always think of stuff like that as betrayal)...and turned my back on her. -I tried flying. I was inside a building, which I don't think helped, but I didn't have much luck. I felt like I was flying low and running at the same time. I may have been running with my arms outstretched and my torso bent forward, tricking myself into thinking I was flying. But I was able to execute a loop (think: roller coaster loop) where I totally left the ground while doing it and then touced down again. Whaddaya think, and what advice do you have?

Awesome!! That is a great first DILD! Dream control comes with time and confidance. But really the confidance is the most important part. You have to belive that you can do whatever it is that you are trying. If you are serious about working on your dream control I suggest reading at least the first little bit of the Nature of Dream Control thread by The Cusp here. I've been LDing since I was a kid and dream control had always been a difficult thing for me. Now, using the things I learned from that thread, I have awesome dream control.

Congratulations More to come I'm sure. There is a flying tutorial in the tutorials database, check that out. Many people (including myself) have had trouble flying the first couple of times.
