What's up guys? I'm new here.

How're you guys doin'? Just wanted to say what's up and maybe get to know some other people amongst the forums =P

I'm very interested in this "Lucid Dreaming" and I am also very, very determined to do it. Last night I was on DV and I used two very simple techniques before i went to sleep to maybe "get me started" and these were to speak to myself before sleeping, in order to recall my dreams the next morning. I also created a goal i wanted to achieve in my dreams, such as dreaming about a certain thing.

I wanted to dream that I was in my school, that was my first goal. I woke up at 6:00 AM to realize that, indeed, I dreamt about my school. I quick wrote everything down that I remembered. I then set another goal, a bit more of a stretch. I wanted to dream about space. I woke up at 11:30 AM, and I recalled dreaming about space, on a shuttle mission to a different planet. I wrote everything down.

That was quite an introduction, more of an experience rather than an introduction, but I'm hoping to be here for awhile and I am also hoping that perhaps by reading this, someone can point me in the right direction on what to do and how to successfully Lucid Dream.

      Thanks!

to DV, tyler!! (May I call you tyler?)

Wow, Auto-suggestion seems to work extremely well for you. I say keep doing it. You recall will keep skyrocketing!! And you recorded them too!! There's really nothing else you need to do. Those things alone will help you more than anything to produce an LD. If you want, you could start Reality Checks to get you in the state of mind..

      Tyler will do!

Alright, I will keep doing what I did. Dream Recall has never been a problem for me (of course I do forget SOME of my dreams. Who doesn't?) But my dreams are usually incredibly vivid, almost bringing on a sense of "Deja Vu" in the middle of the day because I will suddenly remember something from my dream, such as vibes/feelings.

I've already started Reality Checks, but I am a bit confused on the topic. I wrote "dream" on my hand, and I checked it at 12:00 PM, and 3:00 PM (my first day getting on this schedule) I also occasionally poke the palm of my hand. However, I'm having a bit of trouble understanding...is it really just as simple as looking at the word "Dream" on my hand, making sure this is all real, then going back to my business? or must I take a few minutes out of day to actually challenge the theory and get into the mindset?

Another thing I find a bit troubling is the fact that my dreams are never too...let's say, "unrealistic". Sometimes they are, but most times, the things that happen are just bizarre, but just as capable of happening in RL than in my dream. I'm afraid I will not be able to realize that "hey, that can't happen in real life! this must be a dream!" thus not being capable of inducing Lucidity into my sleep.

      Thanks for replying!

      Talking Post 600!!! Post 600!!! Post 600!!! Post 600!!! Post 600!!! Post 600!!!

Well, let me ask you this; Do you know if you have a Dream Sign? That along with RCing will help tenfold.

As for the RCs, I take a minute to look around to see if anything is out of the ordinary. If I see something that's weird to me, I'll try to push my finger through my palm, then go back to whatever I was doing. It does seem to help me get in the mindset.
