No problem, we were all new at one point.

Yeah the key is to remain calm at all times when trying to WILD. But of course if you fall asleep, then its always a good thing to be able to let yourself know that you're dreaming, but that's a-whole-nother ball park of LDing; a technique called DILD (Dream Induced Lucid Dream).

You have to practice WILDing in order to get used to SP, how SP feels, and how SP affects you. Like I said, I had an advantage going into WILDing b/c I went through SP many times since I was 11, so I was pretty accustomed to it and its affects. So if you keep practicing on remaining calm and completely still when WILDing, then you will be sure to get it at sometime or another. And feel free to ask as many questions as you need!

      Hi and welcome!

WILD = Wake Initiated/Induced Lucid Dream. So it's a technique or a type of a lucid dream.
LD = Just means Lucid Dream.

I only know of two types. Dream Initiated and Wake Initiated Lucid Dreams.
Then there are tons of techniques. Check the tutorial sections MILD, HIT, DEILD...

      Wow.
I just read about "False Awakening" in another topic..

I get these alot when I fall back asleep when I wake up in the middle of the night.
Sometimes I even get these when I just fall asleep..
It seems like the time has passed for so long but it's only been a few minutes.

But the scary thing is, everytime I have a false awakening there is usually something that scares the shit out of me.

I feel as if I have weights on my chest, &I can't breathe, nor can I move..
      It's scary..

This is one of the reason why I want to practice LD. ;|

      That would be the SP.

You say you get FA's a lot. Well, I think if you RC (Reality Check) when you wake up, you could get Lucid from it.

That's it. That's Sleep Paralysis right there. When you wake up, you cant move, you're hearing and seeing scary shit; that's definitely SP. Once you get used to that feeling, that's when you'll get the hang of WILDing. And you'll eventually get over the scary shit, b/c you'll know that none of its real and that none of it cant hurt you.

A False Awakening is something else. An FA is when you think you've awaken when you're actually still dreaming. This is similar but different from SP, b/c SP is when you've actually waken up paralyzed; its easy to confuse the two w/ each other.
