      Two problems...

I just decided to start trying lucid dreaming and studying it and I've been trying to do a MILD for a few days now but, every time I do I start getting itchy. It's not just like 'Oh that itches' its like 'DANG THAT ITCHES!' or a bunch of little itches. Also, I always get a song stuck in my head and it's usually a rock song, and i can't concentrate on paying attention to recognizing that I'm starting to dream and falling asleep. Any suggestions?

Another thing is I usually start going into a dream then get kinda nervous and come back to consciousness. Any suggestions for this too?

For clarification; Are you sure you don't mean WILD? Cause that's what your problem is sounding like.

MILD doesn't require you to stay up or anything, when are you getting itchy? Not in your dream, right? I'm a little confused.

As for clearing your mind of that song (and probably itches too): http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=58032

Yeah, for the MILD, all you have to do is fall asleep after you've said what you wanted to say. WILD is the technique that requires you to remain conscious until you fall asleep (and much better, IMO)

I'm getting itchy right before im about to fall asleep so it kinda brings me back to conciousness. Maybe I'm doing the MILD wrong. It's when I first go to sleep at night and I'm just trying to get relaxed. Then, once I'm about to fall asleep, I get itchy and I come back to almost full consciouness.

I had that problem when i tried to relax for WILDing, at the beginning. But i picked up a few techniques on how to relax, in threads like this; http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=63951.

      Hope this helps

In a MILD it doesn't matter how you fall asleep, just fall asleep the way that you normally do.
