      Hello!

      Hi everyone.

I just got into lucid dreaming a few days ago and I stumbled across dv by accident really.

Last night I had my first 2 lucid dreams since I was a child, both of them were milds. Unfortunately I did not last long in either of them only 30 seconds at most, probably due to my getting too excited over becoming lucid which from what I have read can ruin the experience.

The first one I was on top of a skyscraper standing on a stack of junk, I lost my balance and it all collapsed so I fell off the building. Shortly after my fall began I remembered to remind myself it was just a dream, as soon as I had some lucidity I tried to take off in flight but instead as soon as I started zooming away I woke up. (I think I lost my balance because something pushed me, possibly my dream guide but I really don't know. Before I went to sleep I asked my sub conscience to help me have a lucid dream)

I can barely remember the second lucid dream but I know it took place in WWII, me and a couple people were apparently lost in some desert and all of a sudden one of my friends gets shot in the head by a sniper. Me and the other guy took cover in a small ditch, I decided to go after the sniper so some how I snuck over near the cliff and that's when I remembered it was a dream so I raised both of my hands to bring the whole cliff down with the "force" and I saw a bright flash of light and some colors streaking across my vision then I was awake in my bed.

I am extremely pleased I was able to remind myself on two different dreams, I am looking forward to trying it again tonight.

That's all I have for now, thanks for reading.

Welcome to Dreamviews! Two lucids in one night just days after hearing about that is impressive. Don't feel too bad that you didn't get much accomplished in them. The experience will help you to recognize the "dreaming feeling" which helps tremendously in the future. To help make future ones last longer, as soon as you realize you are dreaming, don't try to do anything to fast. Stop and rub your hands or do a reality check to stabilize the dream and increase your awareness. Good luck in the future!

      Thanks for the reply Pastulio,

I will be patient with my LDing. I was expecting to become too excited the first few times it happened so it did not get me down.

Today I have been doing numerous reality checks, and I have been trying to keep some of my concentration focused on my surroundings and what I am doing. It is hard though, I am somewhat of a space-case I have a tendency to get lost in my own thoughts and not pay any attention to my surroundings. so that is a bit frustrating.

Starting tomorrow I am going to take the time to have a couple meditation sessions during the morning and evening to hone my concentration and visualization skills.

      Cheers
