      Was this SP?

Last night, I ate a lot of chocolate before bed, after reading something on here that chocolate may influence lucid dreams. Nothing much really happened as far as lucids go, but I did dream a lot (even though on average, I dream many times per night).

I think I went into Sleep Paralysis. What happened, is that I went to sleep at around.. 2 am. That way, I knew I would wake up earlier, where there would be a little bit of sunlight, but not much. I ended up waking up at about around 9ish. I got up, went to the bathroom, listened to my dad talk on the phone, and went back to bed. I layed down, and could tell that once I did, that sleep would come easily. I tried to do a little bit of FILD, and did that for awhile. I didn't really read as to how that works, I just remember it a little. But I remembered the point was to keep my mind active, while my body falls asleep. So whenever I felt as if I might fall asleep, I would play a little matrix scenerio in my mind, and stayed conscience. I could feel my body relaxing, and I felt a little disconnected. It got to the point where I felt my body heavy, as if I couldn't move it if I tried. I turned over at some point, and then I think I went into Sleep Paralysis.

The best way to describe it.. Well, I don't know how. It feels like.. You KNOW you're stationary, but it feels like you're being pulled down a little. It sounds weird. The first time something like this happened to me, I felt like something was draining my strength from me, and it came in waves. I couldn't move.
This time, I welcomed it. I didn't know what Sleep Paralysis meant, but I knew it had something to do with lucid dreaming, in some way. It came in waves, and hit me 4-5 times, or so it felt.

I kind of fell asleep after that. =]

Oh, and at some point, I heard this really annoying sound. It wasn't a bird chirping, but while my body was somewhat heavy I heard it, and ignored it, thinking I would break my concentration. This was before the Sleep Paralysis.

Well, Or what I THINK was Sleep Paralysis.

Anyway.. How do you get from Sleep Paralysis>Lucids? Was this even Sleep Paralysis? What IS Sleep Paralysis?

Yes, that was Sleep Paralysis! It's a bit scary at first, but you get used to it.

To go from SP to Lucid Dreams, read a tutorial on the Wake Induced Lucid Dream (WILD)

Don't hesitate to ask a Dream Guide (a member with their name in green) if you have more questions.

      Thanks for your answer!
I've actually read a few, and I'm still having problems with understanding what I should be doing once I hit Sleep Paralysis.

RELAX, concentrate on breathing or a sound, imagining a dream.

Lots of questions about sleep paralysis right now. There is a tutorial in review right now, I'll release it here a little later.
