      Lucid dreaming question.

Do you always have to have sleep prior to trying to have a lucid dream because its really difficult for me to wake up at 3am or go back to sleep when I wake up. If there is a lucid dreaming technique that doesnt require sleep before hand if you could tell me what its called and some tips I would highly appreciate it, thanks for all comments =)

MILD and DILD sound like the methods for you.

As you have more and more lucid dreams, from any method, they become easier to have. You develop a "dreaming feeling" that often leads to knowing that you are dreaming with about 100% certainty out of the blue. Good luck with your lucid journey!
