      alternate reality

when i was younger (about 14 years old) i had a really horrifying experience

i was attempting to skip school one day when my mom left for work before i had to be outside to catch the school bus

so i just stayed in bed

about an hour later mom mom came home!

i was so scared that she would notice i was home, so i hid inside my walk-in closet

i fell asleep on the floor in the closet while i waiting for my mom to leave again

      this is where it happened

i got stuck in a dream loop
(i know it sounds strange )

so i was in the closet sleeping on the floor and i woke up
      (or so i thought)

but actually i was not awake

i got up and left the closet only to notice things were not quite right
(kinda like waking up in an alternate world)

a little while later i woke up again but i was still in my closet on the floor

(i thought ok that was wierd, but i didnt really think too much on the subject)

but the thing is that this was not the end

      i was still asleep!!

i woke up over and over and over again! (each time finding myself still in the closet on the floor)

i was stuck in this loop for over 10 hours!

i simply could not wake up for real

also i could not tell the difference between the dream world and the real world

while i was stuck in this loop i was consciously aware that i might still be dreaming, and i kept trying to wake up

i was even pinching myself to make sure i was awake (and the pinch felt real)
      but i was still dreaming

but every time i though i woke up, it would turn out that i was still not awake and i would wake up agian

i was so, so scared, i was even crying

eventally i came out of it and finally woke up for real (i think lol, i could still be dreaming)

it was now about 7pm when i finally woke up for real (10 hours of tyring to wake up from my dream, only to wake into another dream)

and i was still not sure if i was really awake or if i was still dreaming

after trying the pinch test in my dream and being fooled i had no real way of determining if i was really awake this time or not

needless to say i was afraid to go back to sleep for weeks

i had a temporary insomnia, because of the fear that i would not be able to wake up agian if i went to sleep

eventually i was in desperate need of sleep and it happened

      i fell asleep

but thankfully this time i was not stuck!

but i did have complete lucidity in my dream

i was completely aware that i was dreaming and i was able to control things within the dream

i could imagine being somewhere and instantly i would be there

i could do whatever i want, and go anywhere

i could sculpt the dreamscape around myself

and best of all, i could wake up whenever i wanted

ever since this experience i have been a lucid dreamer

i remain conscious while dreaming (if thats possible lol)

i can manipulate my dreams and do whatever i want, whenever i want

this remains true to this day

i am now 23 years old and i have not missed a single night of lucid dreaming ever since my experience

i now look forward to going to bed every night because i can travel or explore new places and even meet new people all within a dream

but the dreams seem so real

when im there, its like this reality is the one thats not real

when im here, its like the dreamworld is the one thats not real

      thank you for reading

sorry if i posted this in the wrong section, im new here

i just wanted to share my experiences with someone who might actually understand

Awesome experience! Sounds pretty scary, but the results sound like it was definitely worth it.

      I envy you!

      And welcome to Dreamviews

Hmm yes I can relate on many levels... skipping school, the joy of LDing Welcome.

Sounds like you were caught in a loop of False Awakenings. I've had that happen to me twice, "woke up" into a dream, realized it was a dream, "Woke up" again and realized once again I was in a dream.

Sounds like you've got a lot of experience now, but I thought I'd point you to the Reality Check tutorial, which you can use to find out whether or not you are dreaming. Even if you are now beyond this, in retrospect it might be interesting to read http://www.dreamviews.com/community/....php?p=1057431

I had a dream like that where I kept waking up...only it was during a hurricane. And in the dream everything was exactly the same as it was IRL, only we were in the eye. I found out I was dreaming when I was about to walk out my fornt door, and then I could have sworn I was sleep walking too, it felt so real. Then I woke up (in my dream) again, and was about to walk out my back door when I realized I still hadn't woken up, and it was still a dumb idea to walk into a hurricane. It was especially scary when I woke up again, only my room was light (it had been pitch black before) and there was a freaky floating light thing in the corner.

At that point I started praying to wake up. When I did (for real) the hurricane's eye was on us (for real).
