      New and confused

Hello everybody, i'm 18, male and I been having dreams since a child. As a child I often had a tornado that had horrifying images and each night I would go to a different dream and fight my way threw whatever task at hand whether I'd be tugged under a bed or getting chased into a van I always had these dreams and I always thought they where real. I often wake up confused because I'm not in the van locking the doors from a crazy serial killer or putting out a fire. And after awhile I would have a the same dream over and over again that would go on for awhile and sometimes I would wake up and fall back asleep in the same situation

Last night I had a dream their was a fire in a hole (my family calls me mr.safety..) and I put it out. Later that day I was given some base ball tickets (I hate sports...) to the Yankee's game at X Reese (I don't know what that means but I just remember seeing it) and then afterwards I was at some formal party outside and I saw my grandfather (RIP) and I told myself he wasn't real, he was gone and I cried and woke up crying.

^ Quick gist of it all...

I also fight myself to wake up sometimes, I feel my body rocking but i'm still in my dream until I rock enough... thought that'd be interesting to hear...

I'm not really sure what "lucid dreams" are but is this LD?

Lucid dreaming is when you're asleep and you know you're dreaming. But I don't know what your dreams mean...

      Hey there.

No, that's not really a lucid dream, as you were not aware that you were dreaming.
However, some logic part of your mind seemed active, for you noticed that your grandfather can't be there and alive. Unfortunately, you didn't conclude that it was a dream, but were shocked (and woke up) instead.

I suggest you browse these forums and read some tutorials, lucid dreaming is a very interesting topic.

      Happy dreaming
