      Looking for advice

Ok, so I've been attempting to lucid dream for about five or so days. I've reached sleep paralysis where I'll go numb, feel sensations, last night it felt like my bed shot across the room and it went "whoosh"-like in my ears and it felt like I was getting close to achieving something, but then that was it.

What's next though? The night before I saw some images but for the life of me I can't figure out how to actually enter them, I tried grabbing something in the dream but it didn't work.

My second question is, let's say I set my alarm for 4 AM or so and I wake up then. What do I do at this point? Try to go back to sleep while following the same WILD technique I use every night?

And if I wake up and find myself just exiting a dream should I be following a different technique then WILD to get back into it?

I think that's three questions, but any info you guys have I'd love to know. Thanks!

      Welcome to DV!

Make sure you sleep for a while before your dream. Just wait, eventually those images will turn into a dream. You can find more information in the tutorial section of this site. And when you give up, ALWAYS do a reality check before you go to sleep. You might just be dreaming that you are still trying to achive a WILD! Are you keeping a Dream Journal? That is very important for dream recall. Maybe you should start with easier meathods, like DILD.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder, fondness makes the absence longer.

Yeah I average one or two dreams I get on paper a night, not great but ok from what I can tell.

I didn't know WILD was the hardest, I'll definitely think about an easier route. And I've sort of blown off reality checks, which is stupid, but I have. I'll start them as well...

I could use some advice too. I have gotten the same sensation, but I can't seem to see images. And when I WBTB i fall sleep. Is there a way to make it easier to not fall asleep because Im staying up for like half an hour and then instantaneously falling asleep.

      1. Just wait for the images to turn into a dream.

      2. Once you wake up, do something for 10-15 minutes that requires your minds full attention (like writing a shopping list). Then go back to your bed and do the WILD method you use.

      3. Do a reality check to see if you're dreaming.

Your images should eventually form into a landscape where you can enter, it will take time so don't give up!! GoodLuck
