      Sp, almost

Now, this is probably something that gets asked a lot around here, but I'll ask anyway.

Two hours or so ago I lay down with music on, my intention was to reach SP.

After some time, not sure how much, I got this itch on my nose, which is not very unusual, and I thought nothing of it. Then all of a sudden this itch increased in intensity tenfold and became almost irresistible. I thought to myself: "This is it" and endured it. All of a sudden I feel a buzz going over my face and body, which lasts for a couple of seconds, then my heartbeat slows down but becomes a lot stronger, like someone beating on the inside of my ribcage with a hammer. I manage to stay calm and composed, and eventually my heart calms down.

After this though, even though I felt different in general, I didn't feel any more effects. I decided to risk it all and try to sit up and see if I was in fact in SP or not, and it turns out I wasn't.

What did I do wrong? What can I do different the next time?

This was at around 10 pm, I had not slept before this, but this was simply intended as practice for SP. Does that make any difference? I mean, SP isn't any easier to reach after 4-6 hours of sleep, is it?

Dude I had the same thing the other night. Right on the tip of my nose. It was killing me. I had already gotten numb and had felt heavy but the itch was so bad i gave in. I couldnt take it anymore. I think it might have been the worst itch i have ever had

Yeah the same thing happens to me when I try to WILD. I just ignore the itch.

You have to ignore andy itched or urges to move because it is your body testing to see if you are still awake, the reason for this goes back to when we where cavemen, as we hunted animals we had to sit in bushes for hours without moving, the brain thought we where asleep so we where paralyzed and eaten by predators, so the brain came up with testing to see if we where actually asleep, just to make sure.

The thing is, I did ignore it and I felt sensations I normally don't, but I still did not reach paralysis.
