      Five years later -

      - Finally I had my second LD. The first thing I remember is semi-lucid and I was just flying between buildings. I say semi lucid because I wasn't ''on rails'' as I typically describe dreams where in retrospect, it seems like we what we're doing in the dream is predetermined and we're just following along. I was making choices as to which way to go and how high or low and how fast.

The buildings were big enough to be real but they looked like toy cardboard buildings, and the roads made no sense as they just ended at random places and made weird patterns, some roads even lead straight into buildings. The sparse trees also looked like toys. There were a couple DCs in suits walking around here and there and I wanted to talk to them but I didn't know how to land.

I suddenly started hearing a girl coughing like it was right in my ear. I didn't know where she was but I asked her what was wrong and if she needed anything. Suddenly I'm on the ground standing in front of a black sedan. I am 100% sure that I am in a dream but I do some RCs for fun. I spun around but that caused me to start slipping out of the dream as the shroud I'm quite accustomed to began to envelope me from all sides. I sat down quickly and looked at my hands and true, they were all deformed looking. My dream was rapidly fading so I didn't have time to lick the ground -instead I licked the door of the car beside me. It tasted grimey like dirt and I even got grit in my mouth from the car not having been washed in a while. As the staticky shroud encircled me I closed my eyes and the dream ended, although I don't think I woke up - I immediately opened my eyes, and smiled as I was in my room. I sat up, and began to swing my legs over the side of the bed and from that point on I have no memory. Is this a false awakening?

My only complaint about this is flying was a bit lame because everything was so fake looking. It was like being in Gumby-land or something stupid. I am glad that I was able to do my RCs though.

I don't know how this dream was initiated. I know my alarm woke me up at 9:00 AM and I turned it off and immediately went back to sleep and into the LD.
Life in a box is better than no life at all, I expect. You'd have a chance, at least. You could lie there thinking, "Well. At least I'm not dead.'

I don't know. I've only been trying for the LD for a couple months but I stopped trying a few days ago and it just happened randomly.
