      Time versus...... err.........Time

      Hello. Thanks for looking.

I am a bi phasic sleeper. The whole point of doing bi-phasic was to get more time, because it required less sleep.
However, lucid dreaming requires more sleep, so you can remember your dreams. But, atm I never remember my dreams and if I do remember a dream I try to get less sleep because it means I have had too much. So, is it worth getting more sleep, just so I can dream? It seems stupid because it means i would waste like 3 hours.

Therefore, is the time spent sleeping (lucid dreaming) more important than time I would have got if I had just been awake.

Is it harder to remember dreams when biphasic? I think I remembered more dreams when I was polyphasic. I would assume that your dream recall would be influenced more by your attention and intention rather than sleep schedule.

Well, like I said, I only ever remember my dreams when I have had too much sleep. So, I'm not sure whether giving myself extra time to sleep is worth it.

I can't offer any scientific or even ancidotal evidence to support this, but in my humble oppinion, I love sleep. I love dreams. To actually give up 3 hours worth of sleep and dreams on a regular basis --

But then again, I seem to have much more interesting dreams and a much more active dream life than most people, so I'm probably biased.

Yeah, I'm with Seeker on this. I NEED sleep. Everyone should have more time to sleep. Sleep is never a waste. Especially when dreams come along with it.
