      Having Trouble..

      Hello,

My name is Scott and i'm new to these forums. I am also not too experienced with lucidity (About 2 years). A couple of weeks ago I was lucid for 3 nights of the week. Twice with a WILD technique and once with DILD. I've been working on my dream recall since and trying to become lucid. But since then i have not yet been able to become lucid. I wake every night in what seems mid REM but i cant get lucid after.

I was wondering if any one has run into the problem of not being able to stay awake enough, or just not being able to concentrate?

I've found this site very reliable and enjoyable to just lurk. It is a great forum

When you are stressed or sleep deprived it is MUCH harder to stay focused enough to LD. Maybe you just need to concentrate on your dream recall and let yourself re-coup for a while?

Recently, I've been going to bed around 1 or 2 and am having a hard time even remember my dreams. As for not focusing, meditation is a good way to get rid of that problem.

Haha thanks! I've read a lot of threads here and it seems really nice.

I see that you're pretty experienced with lucidity. What do you recommend for beginners (Wild,Dild,DEild,.....Fild..)? i've been keeping a DJ and trying to record every dream to help my recall but sometimes i'm too tired.

      thanks

the is probably the best advice out there for those who have problems concentrating during WILD, WBTB and those kinds of methods that include some concentration. though its not so much concentrating as it is keeping your mind clear. just try meditating for at least 5 minutes every day. control you're breathing and keep your conscious clear. If you're serious about achieving lucidity in your dreams through WILD and those kinds of methods, then this will help. and you can always look in the tutorials section for guides and better insight from the veterans around here.
Do not try and bend the spoon. That's impossible. Instead...only try to realize the truth. There is no spoon. Then you'll see, that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself.
