      Lucidity level

Hey guys, im loving this forum, thanks a lot for everything!
And now im gonna ask something:At the moment you wake up, do you feel like you have been teleported or it becomes a memory, just like the memory you have from yesterday or from your childhood or any other memory from real life(waking life)?

For example, try to remember something you did yesterday. It doesnt feel real (its just some blur image), but you know that it was real at the time.
Now if I try to remember about my lucid dream, it feels just like any other memory I have from waking life, except for this time, I can't be sure that it was vivid/real. The only way I can tell it was real is because of another memory about me saying: "it feels so real". Is that the same to you ??

And that question leads to another, wich is: at the time you are lucid dreaming, do you have the same "view quality" that you have on the waking life? how can you tell?

Hey, glad you're enjoying the forum
Assuming it was a good, intense lucid dream, it feels amazingly real at the time.
Afterwards, it feels like a memory, e.g. of yesterday, and you remember *how* detailed and amazing it was ... but then loses some of the actual detail in the memory of it (when you try put your finger on it.

As to your second question .. the view quality is determined by the quality of the lucid dream, of course. But I've had good ones where I was examining small scratches and details on e.g. a wooden crossbow.
However, I couldn't tell you what else was around the room, let alone the detail.
So it's much like real life actually.. you only really notice what you focus on.

This crossbow had some oil on it as well, and not only did I see the oil, but the oil gave me a feeling of oil (not just visual)
i.e. dreams are synastetic (spelling?) and mixtures of the senses get muddled and confused together
Interesting concept that, so thanks for the question

Also, as you probably noticed, your view isn't retricted to your eyes. I find myself seeing things in the dream that I shouldn't be able to see from my perspective in my body.

I only had 2 LDs before, so I never got to see more than the eyes are capable of. Now I'm really really curious hahaha must be amazing!

thanks for answering, I was really frustrated trying to know if I had a "good quality" dream or not!

I think Ill have to experience a lot of LDs before knowing the difference among them.

Yep, it's a great learning experience, expecially about your own mind and psyche
I see the vividness of the dream having a lot to do with how 'deep' or 'shallow' your dream is, which roughly equates to your brain waves at the time (whether you're close to waking up or falling into deep sleep)

Either way, things begin to disappear and don't want to stabilize.
But in the case of waking up, it starts to feel more and more like a daydream ... like you're maybe just acting it out instead of really dreaming
And as a result, you struggle to have the same amount of vividness
