Yep, it's a great learning experience, expecially about your own mind and psyche
I see the vividness of the dream having a lot to do with how 'deep' or 'shallow' your dream is, which roughly equates to your brain waves at the time (whether you're close to waking up or falling into deep sleep)

Either way, things begin to disappear and don't want to stabilize.
But in the case of waking up, it starts to feel more and more like a daydream ... like you're maybe just acting it out instead of really dreaming
And as a result, you struggle to have the same amount of vividness
