      Need some guidance.

Well, here's my story. I've been studying lucid dreaming for about 6 months, and attempting it for 3 months.

I've had 2 lucid dreams in my time. The first was random, and what originally initiated my interest, as before I had it, I had NO IDEA about lucid dreams. I pretty much wasted my first lucid dream, as I had no idea what was going on, so I just played out the dream I was having beforehand.

My second lucid dream was a DILD. I was having a recurring nightmare, and as I approached the peak of the nightmare, which is me basically falling off a shrinking skyscraper, I became aware and challenged the nightmare. Success!

Sadly, this one occurred after me having been through a great experience of emotional distress pertaining to my ex-love. A dream character told me, "Check the vendies up.", pointed off in the distance and I turned around and looked and found myself in a room with no doors or windows. This woke me up.

Recently I've been trying the WILD technique. I generally wake up after 5 hours of sleeping and attempt to recall my dream, I then stay awake for about 30 minutes, usually strumming on the guitar or listening to music.

So, I've done a lot of browsing around here as a lurker. I'm having a hard time incubating a lucid dream using the WILD technique. I can lay quite still, but 40 minutes later usually find myself giving up as I see no hope.

I have a hard time NOT moving my eyes, anyone have any suggestions for me? Also, 30 minutes in my various muscles around my body begin to twitch on their own. I'm comfortable so I'm not sure what this is.

And whenever I do feel a strange feeling come over my body, is usually only persists for a few moments and then dissipates on its own.

Can anyone offer me any advice? It would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome! Hope your stay here will be a great one!

To answer your question about the eye thing...I heard that sitting in a dark room for about 30 minutes can help relax the eyes when your ready to go to bed.

Also, when you wake up from your WILD, I suggest looking something up for 30 minutes that you want to dream about, or even look up Lucid Dreaming.

      And what does "baphomet" mean?

Baphomet means Sabbatic Goat and is normally associated with the occult. So just think of it as "Devil"

And thanks for the advice, I had been doing the part about reading about lucid dreaming after waking up, but I hadn't tried the sitting in the dark bit to relax my eyes.

Wow. It seems my power of dream awareness are quite weak....

I had a dream last night....and I was hanging out with Ludacris...which is absurd because I HATE HATE HATE rap. Anyways, I mentioned lucid dreaming to him and he didn't know what I was talking about.

So then he pulled out a couple of HUGE......well, they were joints. We began to smoke them and I went on and on and on about lucid dreaming and how awesome it was.

And through my entire speech, I didn't even become lucid once. But after waking up, I remembered everything SO vividly.

      How strange is that? 0_o
