      New here!

Well, I thought I'd give this a shot.

First off, my dreams can be detailed and vivid.

Most times I remember dreams I've had ages ago. If a dream hangs with me for days, usually something in the real world happens later.

I like to be IN CONTROL of what I'm dreaming, so hopefully I can learn how to do that and induce dreams which can help me.

I do believe that dreams are communication, especially if it's reocurring, there is a theme there some where.

Just my view, but that's often what happens with me.

Oh and I've had a couple of OBE's in my 51 years on this planet.

One specific dream has stuck with me for years and this was about 14 years ago.

Hi, pmratel! Let me be the first to welcome you to this form. We should certainly be able to teach you how to induce and then get in control of your dreams.

There are a whole lot of methods, techniques, and types of LDs that I'm sure you'll get a hang of.

You also may want to take a look at the
      Beyond Dreaming section
concerning your OBEs or prophetic type dreams.

If you have any questions I will be happy to answer them, as will be any dream guide.

      See you around the forums.

      Thanks.

Let me tell you about that dream I had years ago.

It appeared I was in a house in England some time in the late '40's, I saw a phone beside a chair and could see the routing code fr that area. It was 0576.

Finally got up the nerve years later and checked with British Telecom it DID exist and was in Dumfrieshire Scotland. That spooked the daylights out of me and I still remember this 15 years later

Wow. Yeah, I'm sure that would stick with a person.

Maybe that's something you can develop with LDing?

I should mention that I was in England back in '92. It really had a major impact on me.

It is interesting that my family background comes from Yorkshire & my partner who lives in the U.S comes from Yorkshire as well. We do plan to have a trip back at some point.

      The fun begins!!

It would be interesting to take the trip back in a dream. Maybe you could explore this old dream that has stuck with you and finally get some answers. Or try dialing that routing code on a dream telephone and see who answers on the other end of the line.

I'm going to try some meditation before bed shortly and try to focus.

As I work out, one of the supplements I take is ZMA. I know of people who take 2 before bed.

Haven't done this for a while. When I've meditated, some times interesting t things have happened to other parties that I have known, but I don't talk about that often

Good luck tonight. If you have some time, try meditating in the middle of the night. Wake up after a few (3-5) hours of sleep and do your mediation. Even if it doesn't get you lucid, it can be intense since your mind and body are already relaxed.

We're working on a dream incubation tutorial and that should help you control your dreams. Getting lucid also helps you control your dreams, there are quiet a few dream control tutorials.

      Last night was interesting.

For the most part, nothing out of the ordinary, but just at about 4AM, 20 minutes before I get up.

I was dreaming I was driving my favourite car that I want to own. A 1978 white Corvette. The passenger that was with me was my aunt who has been gone 8 years.

It seemed to have a very comforting feeling and we were going at quite a speed.

      Ideas??

I should add that I'm under alot of stress at work by an idiot manager who is young enough to be my son, so anything could be possible right now

Maybe you are telling yourself you are making good progress on the journey to what you desire. Not there yet, but making good time.

Never thought of it that way, but certainly felt comforted this morning
