      Problems with WILD

(Sorry if there are any typos, im too lazy right now to spell check it)
Hey everyone, id like to start out and say im a complete "newbie" at lucid dreaming. Ive done alot of research on how to acheive the said lucid dreaming, and ive been attempting to do a WILD recently. However, I have noticed i have several questions/problems with the technique and ill list them below.

One problem i have is with swallowing. Can i swallow? Is there a way to not have the need to swallow naturally?

Another problem is that i cant seem to enter the vibration state fully. When i notice im feeling a bit funny (like falling or shaking) i get all pent up and excited, and the feelings quickly fade. Is there a way to keep your nerves and heartbeat down when this happens?

One question i have is how important are the eyes/facial muscles in terms of moving them when you are trying to acheive SP?

My last question is how long does it normally take to get a LD using this method?

I have the same problem but I find as I move into more deeper sleep that I stop swallowing and it also seems directly related to the amount of attention I give it. A tip I read once was to use more pillows to prop your head up as this can keep you from swallowing. I find that this just makes me pay more attention to it thus making the problem worse tho.

Everyone has different feeling as they enter into dreaming and you may never even get vibrations as I don't get much anything personally. The only feeling I get is tingly sensations and HI. As you try to wild more and more everything will become more usual to you, resulting in you being less excited.

From the only tutorial I've read mentioning eye movement is to minimize it or attempt to stop it completely as this quickens your dream state entry. There should be absolutely no movement when entering the dream state which keeps you attached to the real world. I find that it is very easy to do this if your thinking about something else or not thinking at all. Never had a problem with not scratching itches either tho, everyone is different.

You can achieve a wild in anywhere from 10 seconds to 3 hours or never. I think a good time to either start over or go back to sleep would be 30 mins. Though for the first time you should probably just go until you either fall asleep, wild, or get up hours later to your alarm. For example every time I attempt to wild it takes me about an hour or more. I have only had one wild which took about 30 mins, but the time goes by extremely quickly feeling like mabye 10 mins but my patients always runs thin as I enter paralysis. I'm never giving up though.

Hopefully this information helps.(been reading about lucid dreams everyday since I joined this forum.)

The first time I attempted WILD it worked (but it was like, the only time ;_; )
And what I found is that when you start having the vibrations, in order to stay in them and not shit yourself you have to try to... er... its hard to describe perfectly but kind just....fall deeper into them. Dont try to like think too much about them, just go into it. Augh I'm terrible at describing... Thats what I did the first time (but then it freaked me out and I tried to move, but it was too late and my body was paralysed).

Unfortunately taking this advice from me might not be good, cause when I tried after that time to get a WILD, I had the same problem as you had ---getting all energetic when I noticed. The first time, I didnt know you were supposed to have vibrations so it didnt excite me because I didnt know it was a dream sign. Now that I know though, I end up ruining it with my own anticipation.

But all I can say is just try to accept the vibrations, almost slip under or into them, in a way. Dont make yourself too alert, try to not focus on your body too much and stay in your mind. Keep visualising something involving movement (I think one tutorial suggested, riding a bike? Thats what I used)

Good luuuck~! Make sure you're really comfy, too =D
And, ugh, the swallowing. I want that question answered too, cause I don't know what to do about it ;___; I slept with pillows stacked up when attempting to WILD but it still didn't stop them.
