      Total lack of dream recall!

Alright, so I've been doing reality checks and about 4 or 5 days ago I decided to start keeping a dream journal, but since I decided to do that I've had a complete lack of dream recall! I can almost always remember at least something from my dreams but every night since I grabbed a notebook to write it, it's been a complete void. Am I stressing it too much? Any ideas to provoke better dream recall to get started or bring it back?

You could be stressing to much. And you don't have to remember scenes or anything. Just any feeling you get when you come out of the dream.

Repeating to myself; "I will awake from my dreams and remember them completely" before falling asleep helped me alot. You can try that.

also important not to move after waking up and just lying there and remembering. try to go through your dream at least once before getting up.

Maybe there is a limited pool of dream recall that the human population can use, and I used up your share. Mine's gone up like crazy this week

Edit: Also, what he said, when you're falling asleep tell yourself to remember. I did that AND told myself what to dream about, and both worked =D

Except I wasn't specific enough so another guy entered the dream and almost raped her. Be specific, too!

Like people have said, make sure you are going to bed at the same time each night, as well as waking up at the same time. Also, DON'T STRESS IT! Dreams are supposed to be fun and fufilling, stress gets in the way of your whole mind and body when you let it in. Just relax and enjoy your dreams, they will come and you will remember them. Just relax and let your mind do the work for you
