      Differences

Can anyone tell me the difference between Lucid Dreaming and Normal dreaming.

I have read the the home page. It doesn't make it that clear.

I want to find out if a dream I had a last night was lucid.

Because I can remember My dream, well only parts of it. I didn't know I was dreaming does that mean it was normal.

There is one big difference. In a normal dream, you act out what your mind gives you. in a LUCID Dream, you are aware that you are in a dream, that your body is not a real body, that the dream world is all in your head. You have access to all of your conscious function to shape and be free in the dream world.

Oh, well. That means I've had none.

By the way. when you do that SP thing, do you always have a lucid dream after.

If you didn't realize that you were dreaming then it wasn't a lucid dream. A lucid dream is a dream in which you are aware that you are dreaming; nothing more, nothing less.

No, SP happens every-night when you fall asleep. It is what prevents you from acting out your dreams each night. But there are lucid methods that use SP.

Yep, lucid dreaming is when you know that you're dreaming.

SP happens every night and is nothing special. It only comes up on this board a lot because it is is sometimes felt during wake initiated lucid dreams.

REM atonia happens every night, Sleep Paralysis is a disorder that can also be induced by keeping your mind awake while your body falls asleep

You don't always have a lucid dream, but some people use Sleep Paralysis to WILD. If you have the disorder, you've sort of got one foot in the door in terms of making it easier to WILD.
